Piper Cherokee 180

Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee 180C

Our C-model Cherokee 180 features the modern sleek cowling, and is equipped for instrument training. For Sugarpine Aviators they serve a variety of ways on instructional, rental and 135 charter missions. The aircraft is well equipped for night operations. Equipment includes special panel lights and high performance wing tips that feature landing/recognition lights in addition to the landing light located in the nose of the cowl. (Of course, at Quincy, we teach you to land with no landing lights too).

Once we took a Cherokee trip to Alamogordo, New Mexico, heavily loaded and averaged 120 mph ground speed (on the hour meter) and 7.5 gallons per hour. Pretty hard to beat on 180 horsepower!

These Cherokees are lean, mean machines stripped of wheel and gear leg fairings for extra payload, plus climb propeller configurations for mountain performance.

ENGINE

180 horsepower four-cylinder Lycoming 0-360 A4A. Solid crankshaft--no vibration range.
