This is an STC'd ADC Olberg oil filter and associated parts. It was removed from a Cessna 1958 172. It worked well and is in good shape. It fits the following: Beech Baron B55 series, Beechcraft 33, 35 and 36. Cessna 150, 152, 170, 172, 180, 182, 185 and 210. Piper PA-28 and PA-24 series. Grumman AA1 and AA5 series. Mooney M20 series. Bell Helicopter 47 and others.

This filter has been used in high performance and racing circles for years.  The University of Utah tested it against the best spin-on filters on the market and not only did it filter out particles that the spin-on filters missed but it also filtered out fibers which were part of the filter medium of the spin-on filter. The filter will clean until the screen is contaminated; at this time the filter by-pass will open and a panel mounted caution light will come on to alert the pilot that the screen should be cleaned.
