1977

Right from the beginning of this amateur information page I want to

thank some of the very special people who made our adventure

a success:

 We had wonderful parties.

Unfortunately the restaurant kept going through owners and eventually failed completely.

We sponsored many "Airport Days"

We even conducted annual fly-in celebrations at Chester while I was the Airport Manager for Plumas County there and at Quincy.

Eventually, we handed the "Airport Day" productions off to others, but still participate.

Our office began down in the restaurant but we later got kicked upstairs.

We tried all kinds of things to promote business--and tried everything to conserve (such as this patented "shoe stretcher") to make it fit!

We all pitched in to handle maintenance.

Maintenance was always meticulous and carefully documented (in spite of appearances sometimes). The focus was always on the practical. (Note the home made record containers).

Even movie stunts contributed to our struggle to survive in a tough industry.

Winters could be grim...

We had some great airplanes along the way.
