| Bottom left: Loraine Wardman had her own show at San Carlos, CA. She said she was a "World Champion Acrobatic motorcycle rider. She taught me to ride my Triumph TR-6 backwards. Bottom right: Me, my TR-6 and Luscombe 8A. I "practically" flew the motorcycle, but really did fly the Luscombe (14 gallons total fuel, no radio) from Sacramento, CA to New Orleans, LA via Medicine Bow Pass, WY, and Greeley, CO., surviving (mostly by luck) dust storms, tornadoes, frost, fog, "B girls," barroom bouncers and fuel exhaustion. |
